The federal government has decided to keep petroleum prices unchanged for the remaining days of June, bringing the current fiscal year to a close without introducing another fuel price adjustment.
According to the latest decision, petrol will continue to be available at Rs. 299.78 per litre, while High-Speed Diesel (HSD) will remain Rs. 311.56 per litre. The revised rates will stay effective for another week, and the Petroleum Division has also issued an official notification confirming the decision.
The announcement comes only a week after consumers received one of the biggest fuel price cuts in recent months. During the previous review, petrol prices were reduced by Rs. 74 per litre, while High-Speed Diesel became cheaper by Rs. 64 per litre, providing significant relief to transporters, businesses, and the general public.
Since fuel prices directly influence transportation costs and the prices of essential goods, many consumers were expecting another revision before the end of June. However, the government has opted to maintain the existing rates instead of announcing another decrease or increase.
